Motherhood is a forever-changing experience. I have come to a point as a Mom, where we don’t need a single bag dedicated to baby necessities for my toddler. We are getting closer to potty training and don’t have to change his diaper as often or carry all the usual baby items.
So now what? I find myself debating if I should keep a diaper bag in each vehicle anymore of find a purse that can be both a purse and diaper bag. I know most moms do this already, but I… packed everything, including the kitchen sink when it came to my baby.
I have been looking online for a bag or purse that can be the best of both worlds. It has to have enough space to contain all of the following…
- 1-3 Diapers
- Wipes
- 1-2 laptops (occasionally)
- Wallet
- Feminine Products
- Colitis friendly snacks for myself (GF, Soy-Free, Diary-Free, and such)
- Chapstick
- Pen
- Masks (I try to carry multiple)
- Sanitation wipes
- Hand Sanitizer
- Car keys
- Toddler water bottle
- Toddler Morning Snack
- Cell Phone
I never really realized how much stuff I carry around with me until my husband made a comment, “You can’t find anything in this purse!” ? which was my lightbulb moment of… GIRL…. You need to get organized.
With my new determination of finding a bag that can be both a diaper bag and purse. I started searching for bags with 3 main sections. Ideally, each section would have a purpose; Baby, Mom, and Laptops (Work stuff).
I finally found it!
After a long time of searching, I did find a bag that fit all my criteria. It’s a Steve Madden purse. I did get it for a great price on Mercari, but that also means this bag will be hard for others to find 🙁
I did use a bag I got from Target Dollar Spot. Two bags, one to keep diaper bag items and the other to hold masks. It was 3 dollars, but worth.

I did find some similar bags… I will probably ask for the Target purse for my birthday 🙂
What do you use for your mom purse? Are you still managing a diaper bag and purse or have you combined the two?
