Helping overwhelmed moms slow down, nourish their homes, and rediscover their love for being creative — one rooted step at a time.
A Life Cultivated, Not Curated
Slow living, motherhood, and creative rhythms rooted in Minnesota.
Minnesota.Raye is a space for the mom who’s tired of rushing, overwhelmed by noise, and craving a slower, more grounded way of living.
Through seasonal rhythms, cooking from-scratch, creative projects, and natural living, this space offers a gentle return to what matters — nourishing your family, reconnecting with your creativity, and building a home that feels calm, intentional, and lived-in.
Even if it might feel messy at times.
Rooted in motherhood and shaped by a journey through chronic illness, this is about creating a life that supports your body, your home, and your spirit.
Because it doesn’t have to be perfect to be meaningful —
just rooted and real.
The Story Behind the Soil-Stained Hands
A journey through chronic illness, healing, and rebuilding life with intention.
Hi, I’m Raye — the heart behind Minnesota.Raye/MNRaye.
I’m a mom, creative, and aspiring homesteader learning how to build a slower, more intentional life in the middle of everyday chaos.
After being diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 2020, I was forced to reevaluate everything — how I lived, how I ate, and how I cared for myself. What started as a search for healing turned into something deeper: a desire to live more simply, more naturally, and more connected to my home and family.
I began cooking more from scratch, getting my hands in the dirt, and returning to my own creativity in small, meaningful ways.
Not perfectly and definitely not all at once.
But steadily.
This space is for the woman who feels that same pull —
to slow down, simplify, and create a life that actually feels good to live in.

Getting Ready for Camping Season (The Slow Way)
Every year, as the weather starts to turn, I feel the pull to get outside again. Camping season always sounds simple in theory—but if I’m not intentional, it can quickly turn into overpacking, overbuying, and overcomplicating. So instead of rushing into it, I’ve started creating a slower rhythm…
